OUR MISSION

To actively empower, preserve, and promote the history and future of the leather community of New England.

Founded by Full Kit in 2013, New England Leather (NEL) is proud to be celebrating our 13^th year as a contest, our 3rd year as a NON-Gender-Specific Contest, and our 1st Year as an official nonprofit here in the State of MA. We’re honored and humbled to have reached this milestone as a Title Contest to represent New England’s LGBTQ+ Leather Community. This celebration empowers our organization to continue being a force for positivity in our LGBTQ+ community and beyond, and being a welcoming, supportive space for New England’s queer leather people regardless of gender or gender expression.

I am a cowboy and leatherman currently based in Providence. Before becoming the local Eagle’s resident Marlboro Man, I spent several years embedded in Boston and London’s kink communities. While in London, I assistant-managed gay fetish shop Prowler RED and co-founded a project to drive engagement within the local scene. I hope to apply my operational expertise to make a similar impact in New England.

Will you be New England Leather 2027? Well, here is your chance! We are currently accepting applications. The winner of New England Leather (NEL) will represent the region competing at International Mr. Leather (IML) or International Ms. Leather (IMsL) during their NEL title year. Prize package includes airfare, lodging stipend, New England Leather title sash & back patch, and much more. The winner will represent the leather community of New England for one calendar year.
