Our Purpose

New England Leather (NEL) Weekend is proud to be celebrating our 13th year, and our 3rd year as a fully gender-inclusive contest. We are honored and humbled to reach these milestones and continue as a Title Contest to represent New England’s LGBTQ+ Leather Community. New England Leather strives to be a force for positivity in our LGBTQ+ community and beyond, and to be a welcoming, supportive space for New England’s queer leather people of all gender identities and expressions.

I am a cowboy and leatherman currently based in Providence. Before becoming the local Eagle’s resident Marlboro Man, I spent several years embedded in Boston and London’s kink communities. While in London, I assistant-managed gay fetish shop Prowler RED and co-founded a project to drive engagement within the local scene. I hope to apply my operational expertise to make a similar impact in New England.

Will you be New England Leather 2027? Well, here is your chance! We are currently accepting applications. The winner of New England Leather (NEL) will represent the region competing at International Mr. Leather (IML) or International Ms. Leather (IMsL) during their NEL title year. Prize package includes airfare, lodging stipend, New England Leather title sash & back patch, and much more. The winner will represent the leather community of New England for one calendar year.
